Program Structure

During the process of 2 months, participants will:

  • Participate in 6 Building Automation System/ Smart Building Technology courses taught by knowledgeable and experienced professionals from the JCI Institute

  • Experience 3 weeks of on-the-job training

Courses will be taught at the CK Gates & Associates offices in the Historic Third Ward in downtown Milwaukee.

What participants will learn:

  • How to diagnose and repair complex electronic and digital control systems

  • General knowledge on Smart Buildings Technology control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques

  • Leadership skills to support mechanics on job sites as well as effective customer service skills

Cost:

The program is free to Operation Career U-Turn participants. The only cost is your hard work and commitment.

Potential employers after certification:

Unlimited possibilities including companies in the business, commercial and government sectors.

Potential salary after completion:

Around $35,000+, resulting in $60-$100K after 3-5 years.
